Mini Review:

The one thing I enjoy about most novellas is that they are quick reads that wrap up with a pretty little bow. This one, however, left SO many questions! What happened with the brother? Do they stay together and do long distance? What happens the next morning? The story was good, but the abrupt ending just left me reeling and, instead of feeling satisfied, I felt shortchanged. This book seemed more destined to provide brief entertainment or a quick distraction rather than a real, thorough storyline.

Aside from that, I thought it was pretty cute that she incorporated the lyrics to “Baby It’s Cold Outside” into the story. Some places it fit beautifully, and others, while awkward, still contributed to the overall charm of the story. I am embarrassed to admit how long it took to make the connection, but once I did, it became somewhat of a game within the story.
