Book #3 of a 9 Book Series
Book Summary:
Jamie
It’s not exactly what I’d call the ideal situation—being introduced to your bio-dad’s best mate only to realize he’s the sexy older guy you hooked up with a couple of weeks ago—but it’s also not the worst thing to ever happen in history. The way I see it, this is fate. The universe is throwing Shay Kelly in my path again because it knows how much I’ve been dying for another shag with him.
I have four weeks before I need to go back to London, and I know exactly how I’d like to spend that time. And fortunately for me, Shay’s just as keen for a repeat or ten as I am.
All we need is a few ground rules to keep this little fling in check…
Rule One: It’s temporary
Makes sense—neither of us do the long-term bit. And it’s not like we can continue with this once I move back to London.
Rule Two: No dates, just sex
Easy peasy—sex is the best part of dating anyway.
Rule Three: We keep it between us
Perfect—sneaking around and concocting elaborate lies is a right turn on.
Rule Four: No falling in love
Love? Me? In four weeks? There’s a better chance of me inventing the solution to climate change.
Mini Review:
As of Book #3, Isla just started having more fun with the books. While the stories remained just as good, this one, in particular, wasn’t as deep and profound as the rest. In this case, it was more of a tit-for-tat. In Book #2, Shay finds out Blake is dating his little brother, Owen. In this book, we discover that Shay hooks up with a gorgeous redhead at a bar one night, only to find out on a random weekend in the Hamptons that the mystery man was none other than Blake’s son! We also start seeing more crossover in the stories, so this book provides a different perspective of the weekend we experienced in Book #2. We find out that Jamie and Shay decide to keep the hooking up casual as it is short-lived anyway – Jamie is only in town for a short amount of time before he starts his new job across the pond, and Shay isn’t interested in a relationship. The two of them are so convinced that they can handle casual that they don’t realize they are slowly falling for each other. It’s absolutely adorable, and Isla keeps the drama to a bare minimum. We get to check in with the other Kelly siblings throughout the book. Honestly, this one was pretty light-hearted compared to the two prior books. Out of the nine, I would say this one ranks as #5.
