Book Summary:

When a blizzard hits, I’m left with more than my emotional walls broken. The literal roof of my cabin caves in. With nowhere else for me and Pumpkin to go, Milo invites us to stay with him until I finish the repairs.

Hope Peak might be a sleepy town, but Milo’s sunny face and sweet mouth have awakened something in me. Milo has opened up his new home to me…can I open up my grizzled heart to him?

Mini Review:

In traditional grumpy vs. sunshine, opposites-attract fashion, we meet two people who couldn’t be more different from each other and yet are perfect together. As with most novellas, the romance was on hyper overdrive, reducing any possibility of friction and paving the way solely for instalove. While there may not have been conflict between Milo and Shane, the author did create a wedge of drama by drudging up bad memories of the past and a fractured friendship.

Being an ARC, there were two instances where the sentence just stopped. I am assuming this was fixed before it went live, but if anything important was shared, it was missed due to that drop-off. While the steamy scenes were a good effort, they didn’t quite rack up to the level of spice promised by the author. The ending was very sweet, and I strongly encourage grabbing the bonus epilogue. All in all, a cute short read that will put a smile on your face and remind you that there is someone out there for everyone.
