Hopeless Bromantics

Book #4 of a 9 Book Series

Book Summary:

Wade

Here are some things I wish someone would have told me a few months ago:

1. Putting together an Ikea desk does not make someone qualified to help with home renovations

2. It’s impossible to un-teach a five-year-old the word ‘dildo’

3. Two straight guys messing around with each other is not as uncommon as people might think, so don’t freak out

Of course, I freaked out…

Moving back to Staten Island after my divorce was the simple choice, and hiring a contractor to help make my new place somewhat liveable was an even simpler one.

But I wasn’t expecting the contractor to be Brendan Kelly, an old high school buddy I’d lost contact with over the years. And I definitely wasn’t expecting what happened next…

Pay attention, folks–we’re here to revolutionize the bromance!

Mini Review:

I love how this book was determined to challenge my mindset and the need for labels. Wade and Brendan, despite falling in love with one another, were adamant that they were still straight – meaning they were not necessarily attracted to men in general, just each other. We are often so convinced that based on someone’s sexual preference, they are categorized as this or that, but these two decided to redefine the bromance and found a connection that is just theirs and no one else’s. This one was a little heartbreaking because of what Wade went through with his son’s mother, but that little boy had me cracking up the entire time! I loved how sweet this one was, and while Wade did try to push for a third-act break-up, Brendan wasn’t having it. Watching these two try to figure it out together and build a family was just bliss. Out of the nine, this one was my third favorite.
