Man Cuffed

Book #4 in a 4 Book Series

Book Summary:

MAC
A good cop can always spot trouble. That’s why my senses started pinging the moment I met the hottie next door. The neighborhood may never be the same. First she confuses me for a male stripper and tries to remove my uniform. (The guys on the force will never let me live that down.) And then there’s the breaking and entering.

I don’t know what to do with her. My libido has a few ideas of its own, though. Bad, bad ideas.

MEG
Hey, I it’s not my fault that Hot Cop’s nightstick gets excited every time we see each other. And I can’t help that someone broke into his apartment.

Fine—that last thing was totally my fault. And I intend to make amends. So when he needs a date for his sister’s wedding, I’m there. This is right up my alley. I’m an actor. By the time it’s over, his entire family will believe we’re a couple.
Even him

Mini Review:

We wrap up this wonderful series with Meg, Sadie’s sister. Having left Atlanta broken hearted and frustrated with her career, Meg finds herself back in Michigan – the last place she thought she would be. Determined to have a fresh start, she takes on a job as a bar wench so she can pay the bills and move out of her sister’s apartment (she could only take so much of the new happy couple). Dealing with a rowdy bachelorette party, Meg is relieved with the strippers show up and offers to get the party started. Being the talented actress she is, she steps into the role of a hype woman and excites the crowd, only to have it come to a halt when she can’t seem to tear off the police officer’s uniform. The REAL police officer’s uniform! Hey – it’s not her fault Officer McHottie looked like he could be a stripper! Adding yet another screw up to her long list of woes, Meg decides to focus on auditions – well tries to but her neighbor has a tendency to put on one heck of a vocal show each night with his lady friends. Fantasies aside – Meg has to land her next role or finally move on from her dream.

Across town, Mac has yet to forget about the woman who not only made a lasting first impression, but is still the reason his partner mocks him. Unable to find her (as she quit the tavern) he can’t seem to get her out of his mind. Doesn’t matter anyway since Mac doesn’t date. One heartbreak is enough in his lifetime. Instead, he spends his nights with his current lady friend Nicole. It works and he has no desire to change any time soon. Or so he believes until he awakens to find his new Hot Neighbor (who has now broken into his house) is also the gorgeous woman from the bar. Confused, yet aroused, he learns she is trying to warn him that his “girlfriend” is cheating on him. Taking advantage of the situation, he agrees to not book her for breaking and entering if she will be his fake date for his sister’s wedding. The only issue is, Mac doesn’t realize how convincing Meg can truly be when it comes to being his make believe girlfriend.

I enjoyed this book way too much! We were able to get a peek at how Ari, Sadie, and Brynn were doing and got to know Meg beyond the thoughts of her sister Sadie. The back and forth between Meg and Mac was hilarious. They played off each other very well and riled each other up. Don’t even get me started on the heat. You could cut the sexual tension with a knife and Meg’s stubbornness only added to it. Mac’s partner Lance was the icing on the cake. I loved that guy! I don’t know if Sarina and Tanya did a spin-off series where Aubrey, Cassidy, and Lance got their own stories but I would highly recommend it! I’d read Lance’s story in a heartbeat!

While the book was a lot of laughs, it had a ton of heart. Mac’s backstory between what happened in college and the rift in his family was a tear jerker. Sarina and Tanya tried to do a mix of humor and drama in Man Card but it fell short. In Man Cuffed, they got the formula exactly right! This book was the perfect ending to the series.
