    While some may consider this to be a holiday romance (taking place in November and wrapping up on Christmas Day), the focus is primarily on the hate-lust relationship between Eva Bradshaw and Walker Dunn. Intense, hot, and a healthy dose of loathing – these two keep the jabs coming as they get under each other’s skin on and off the ice. This story was full of heartbreak, pain, and coming to terms. Walker had a messy past and an uncertain future that caused him to close off his heart to anything but hockey. Eva’s primary focus was taking care of her daughter and doing what it took to be self sufficient in life, no matter what her mother thought of her. Both found solace on the ice. Despite their desire for full control, their mutual chaos create an unexpected bond and a surprisingly warm story with a beautiful ending.
