    Book Summary:

Violet believes her night of orgasmic magic with Alex is just that: one night. But Alex starts to call. And text. And email and send extravagant–and quirky–gifts. Suddenly, he’s too difficult to ignore, and nearly impossible not to like.

    The problem is, the media portrays Alex as a total player, and Violet doesn’t want to be part of the game. 

    Mini Review:

    While I absolutely LOVE a good hockey romance, I am honestly kind of on the fence with this one. Don’t get me wrong, it was absolutely hilarious and quite the read. My issues were more with Violet’s character and her conflicting personality. There were moments where she was vulnerable and relatable but then in that same breath she was very crass and incredibly off-putting. While I understand the versatility of the character, I felt like Helena pushed the humor more for the sake of a laugh then to move the story forward. I did appreciate Alex’s character. He was too sweet for words but even he had the Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde personality, morphing from secret nerd to The Hulk. While the night and day of the character’s personas did pull away from the story, the overall concept was quite enjoyable! You will laugh, you will swoon, and you will desperately want to get to a hockey game as soon as possible!
