Incredibly sweet second chance romance! Sloane wasn’t looking for love when she walked into the networking event that night. As a recent college graduate, her focus was making the right connections to land her the job of her dreams…until she heard the seductive alluring voice of one Malone Goodman.
Participating in karaoke portion of the evening, Malone spots the most gorgeous being across the room. Catching her before she departs, a quick introduction leads to a whirlwind romantic week that comes to an abrupt halt when Malone discovers he is dating his new boss’s daughter. Understanding of what could never be, Sloane and Malone go their separate ways, occasionally crossing paths until seven years later, they find themselves in close proximity when Sloane’s father invites her to move her business into his vet office.
Try as he might, Malone can’t resist the connection he has with Sloane. When he discovers her secret, caution is thrown to the wind and determination is front and center to give her what she deserves, and more. The problem, no matter how much he wants to convince himself he can compartmentalize their “project” into a safe bubble, eventually said bubble will pop.
One last thing to note: If you are familiar with the Big Rock universe, we branch off yet again on this expansive family tree with Malone, who is Nick Hammer’s (Mister O) and Wyatt Hammer’s (Well Hung) cousin.
