    It might have something to do with the family crisis that drew me home between tours as a career Marine.     Mini Review:

    There was SO much I loved about this book! I loved Brandon’s back story, how he came to the ranch based on his military career, what was currently going on at home, and how he seemed to still be willing to give himself to people to make their lives easier. I ADORED Jade. She is one heck of a firecracker. It broke my heart that she went through so much in high school in terms of bullying but I was so proud to hear how it made her tougher, stronger, and molded her into the kick butt person she was today. The humor of this book was fantastic and it even had a little drama and suspense mixed in to keep you on yours toes. SO much heart too! Brandon’s side story with his dad would make any person tear up. It also provided a wonderful reminder that you never know what someone is going through and what how small acts of kindness can make the biggest impacts.
