Book #9 of a 9 Book Series
Book Summary:
Nate
Due to unfortunate happenstance, my precious phone is currently on its way to Ireland in the not-so-safe hands of Callum Foley—my sister’s boyfriend’s cousin. I’ve only met the guy once and my impression was unsettling at best, so the thought of him accessing my phone with all its private contents fills me with nothing but dread.
But I have Callum’s phone with me, so when he starts teasing me about some of my apps I figure it’s fair game to dive into its contents. What one guy needs with twelve different hook-up apps, I’ll never know.
We agree to overnight the phones as soon as Callum arrives home, but it turns out a lot can happen on a six hour flight to Ireland, and I find that when the time comes, I’m not so eager to give up this connection to him…
Mini Review:
If I could squeal with joy to express how much I loved the last book in this series, I would! Callum gave Heath a run for his money in speaking without a filter. I loved how different Callum and Nate were, and how much Callum got under Nate’s skin. We’ve learned Nate loves his sister Ellie, but he came from a home where anything queer was frowned upon. He was the prodigal son, the one his parents “got right,” so choosing his sister over his family was already a sin in their eyes. Now, add to that the possibility that he’s drawn to the foul-mouthed, gorgeous, and unpredictable Kelly cousin who makes him feel, think, and act in ways he never imagined. Watching Callum slowly pull Nate out of his shell and help him discover who he was, was bittersweet, as he was falling for him while also fearing he might lose him. Throughout their story, we got wrap-ups of the other Kellys, revisiting previous stories and glimpsing where some of the sub-characters are heading. Isla concluded the series wonderfully, and while I’m sad to see it end, nine books later, I can say it was totally worth the ride!
