Try Me

Book #2 of a 4 Book Series

Book Summary:

Two rivals. One law internship. A whole lot of objectionable activity.

It wasn’t always this way between us.
We were best friends growing up.
Competitive? Yeah.
Ruthless? Definitely.
Neither of us liked to lose.

But the intense chemistry?
That’s new.
The hatred in his eyes?
That’s new, too.

I should let it go.
There’s too much bad blood between our families. Between us.
But I can’t.
I don’t think he can, either.

Now we’re gunning for the same internship.
If he thinks I’ll back down, he’s dead wrong.

Once upon a time, I lost everything.
I won’t let it happen again.

Go ahead. Try me.

From the author of Want Me comes the second new adult college romance in the Extracurricular Activities series. Expect drama, snark, feels, egregious misuse of private property, a guy who’s way more heteroflexible than he realized, and a semi-sorta reformed bad boy who loves to test him.

Mini Review:

I give up and accept that I will be reading every book in this series. As soon as I put down “Want Me,” I picked up “Try Me.” Neve does an incredible job keeping everything in the same universe, and this book picks up right where “Want Me” ends—at Eric and Nate’s housewarming party. Neve uses the prologue as a surprising introduction to a history between Mark and Chet that we weren’t previously aware of. We thought their history began and ended with Cam, but it turns out they had known each other since childhood! This justifies Nate’s suspicion in “Want Me” that there was a lot more going on than Mark was saying.

While “Try Me” wasn’t nearly as scorching hot as “Want Me” (I don’t think it is possible to top that one!), Neve still brings the heat and spicy treats with the push-and-pull, rivalry-tinged-with-lust dynamic that exists between Chet and Mark. With a Romeo and Juliet element of household rivalry and forbidden romance, you won’t be able to put this one down. We also get to know Jesse and Sam a little more in this story, we check in with Nate and Eric (still going strong), and we get a quick peek at Ansel, though he is mostly MIA this round.

“Try Me” has a lot more of a storyline than “Want Me” and just as much of an emotional hold, but with a lot more humor. You will sniffle, giggle, and hurt your face smiling as you enjoy yet another chapter in the Extracurricular Activity saga.

About the Book Author

Neve Wilder

Neve Wilder reads promiscuously, across multiple genres, but her favorite stories always contain an element of romance. Incidentally, this is also what she likes to write. Slow-burners with delicious tension? Yes. Whiplash-inducing page-turners, also yes. And every flavor in between.

She believes that love conquers all. Except the heat index in July. Nothing can conquer that b@stard.
