Walk on the Wilder Side

Book #2 of a 6 Book Series

Book Summary:

His best friend’s sister is rocking his boat. In the best way possible.

Brody: What’s a bad boy doing hosting a book club on his boat? Excellent question. All I can tell you is, it’s not going well. I forgot the bug wipes, the extra TP, and the hand sanitizer, we’re out of wine, and… well, I may have made some people angry, if the reviews are any indication. The only way to dig myself out of this hole is to redeem myself by offering the best girls’ nights out in town.

Enter my best friend’s sister. I’ve gone out of my way to avoid Rachel, since despite her good-girl rep, I can’t seem to get her out of my head. Now she’s in my boat… and if I don’t watch myself, soon she’ll be in my bed. Things are going surprisingly well between us… but I know myself, and I’m not this guy. I’m the guy you want for fantasy fulfillment, not the guy you want for forever.

But what if I need this time to be different?

Mini Review:

When will these women learn there’s just no quitting a Wilder! Walk on the Wilder side is a good girl meet bad boy told in all the best ways. In book number two of this wonderful series, we get to hang out with Brody, Rush Creek’s resident bad boy. I don’t think I have ever wanted a book to have pictures so badly in my life! The way Bell describes Brody, my imagination couldn’t do it justice. Add on top of it that the bad boy exterior can’t even compare to the gooey middle that is a wonderful father to Justin, well mannered to those in his community, devoted brother, and fiercely loyal to his friends. The fact that he has held a candle for Rachel all of these years just makes your heart go pitter patter (even if he didn’t believe he was good enough for her). Rachel, on the other hand, was the town’s good girl with a plan. For as long as she could remember, she had a plan for how her life was going to go – what she didn’t plan on was the one man she thought didn’t know she existed having eyes for her. Watching these two bring out the best (or worst in the best way) in each other was what made this book so good! Brody pushed Rachel outside of her comfort zone and Rachel made Brody see the man he really was, not the one he thought he was. Between the brothers, Rachel’s brother Connor, Rachel’s mother (loved that woman!) and baby Justin (too adorable!), I couldn’t put this book down.
