Alright, I concede! Every single time I convince myself I am not reading the next book in this series, guess what I find myself doing. I can’t help it, it is just that good! Would I read another shape shifter series in general, probably not. Would I read another series by Eve Langlais? I’m not even going to lie and say no – of course I would! 

When an Omega Snaps is book #3 of the series. We have witnessed the Alpha and Beta find their partners, now we set out sights on the Omega. The twist? He’s not looking to settle down, but Meena is! A frisbee gone astray causes Meena to come crashing into Leo’s life. Disaster disguised as a drop dead gorgeous Lioness, Meena declares Leo is her mate, whether he likes it or not. Let the cat and well…cat chase begin because Meena is not taking no for an answer. Who else won’t accept “No”? Meena’s ex Dmitri. 

Her Russian Siberian Tiger refuses to let his ex go. Love has nothing to do with his infatuation. Meena has the body to breed the super babies he has always wanted and no one, not even a pesky Liger, was going to get in the way of that. As Omega of the Pride, Leo’s second order of business (the first being to keep order in general), is to keep Meena safe. While Meena can handle herself (she did escape from captivity and hot wired a motorcycle), she doesn’t mind faking the damsel in distress if brings her closer to Leo.

These two together were an absolute riot! The things Meena does (or the crazy things that she has done that are revisited) are bone deep hilarious. While some of the stuff she does could border on sexual assault, her determination to when over Leo knows no bounds. I applaud Leo for resisting her as much as he did. Every time he started banging his head on something, I would laugh so hard I’d have tears in my eyes (I’m chucking now!) I can’t think of a moment when this gut buster wasn’t splitting my sides. The best way I can describe this is like any movie trilogy. The first one is serious, focused, and has a story to tell. The second is a little lighter on its feet but still had a solid back bone and will leave you wanting more. By the third one, they know they’ve got you are just starting to have some fun. That is exactly what this book was – fun! No drama, no heartache, no nail biting moments – just page after page of sheer calamity that would pull a smile on the grumpiest of faces!
