Wildcat

Book #1 of a 4 Book Series

Book Summary:

Dropping out of college and moving back in with my parents was not the plan I laid out for myself. But here I am, working whatever jobs I can find until I figure out what I want to do with my life. It doesn’t help things that my ex-boyfriend is splashed all over ESPN winning trophies like he isn’t the least bit heartbroken.

So when I meet Leo and he makes me forget about the mess of my life, I don’t think twice. Or ask enough questions.

Because the cute guy I went home with isn’t just some guy. He’s Leo Lohan, star forward for the Wildcat hockey team.

Everyone knows not to trust too handsome for their own good hockey players. Especially when your dad is the coach.

My parents are already disappointed in me, and Leo has a lot on the line with the team, so no one can find out. And it definitely can’t happen again.

Mini Review:

I really am a sucker for a good hockey romance and this one is definitely in my top ten. For one, Leo has jumped to the top of my book boyfriend list. After that, his teammates have set me up to devour the rest of this series!

What I loved most about Leo’s character is that we got to see him on the other side. In a lot of hockey romances, it is the typical “love of a good woman” that redeems the bad boy hockey player. In this story, Leo already hit his rock bottom and had turned his life around. He didn’t want the puck bunnies or the spotlight, he just wanted to meet someone who liked him for him, not for his fame. Enter Scarlett who just broke up with an F1 racer and is trying her hardest to get her life together.

After a shaky start, the hard time Scarlett gives Leo is what brings the book to life. She has been burned before and really does put Leo to the test. While the book doesn’t get tear jerkingly sad, it does hurt your heart when an innocent situation explodes, causing a media disaster of epic proportions.

Throughout it all, Scarlett’s best friend Jade and Leo’s best friend Ash and teammates will keep you in stitches and remind you why falling in love may never be easy, but it can be a ton of fun!
